Transforming a former baseball retail store into Great Big Game Show required a complete commercial interior renovation. As the commercial general contractor, 90 Degree Construction managed this 2,166-square-foot tenant build-out at The Battery Atlanta, coordinating the demolition, white-box preparation, interior partition construction, commercial flooring, painting, plumbing and electrical work needed to create an eye-catching entertainment venue.
The completed commercial space includes three separate game-show studios, bold interior finishes, dark painted walls and ceilings, metallic epoxy flooring, polished concrete floors, LED lay-in lighting and an additional restroom.
Throughout the tenant finish construction process, our team coordinated with Great Big Game Show’s design team to turn their creative vision into a finished commercial interior that supports both the brand and the day-to-day operation of the business.
Commercial Interior Demolition and White-Box Preparation

The project began with the interior demolition of a former baseball retail store. The existing retail layout had to be removed so the 2,166-square-foot space could be taken back to a white-box condition and prepared for its new use.
This demolition and white-box phase gave our commercial construction team a clean starting point for the new tenant improvement work. The former retail space needed to be reconfigured into three studios, guest circulation areas, operational support spaces and two restrooms.
Converting an existing retail location into an entertainment venue requires careful commercial construction planning and scheduling. The new space must support a completely different customer experience, traffic flow and operational layout while working within the conditions of the existing building.
This retail-to-entertainment conversion demonstrates how a commercial tenant improvement can give an existing property an entirely new purpose.
A 2,166-Square-Foot Full-Service Tenant Build-Out
Beginning of interior buildout following demolition
Following demolition, 90 Degree Construction began the interior build-out needed to transform the white box into Great Big Game Show.
Our work included constructing new interior partition walls to establish the layout for three individual game-show studios. These partition walls turned the open retail floor plan into separate entertainment spaces while also defining the hallways, guest areas and supporting rooms needed for the business.
Within the 2,166-square-foot footprint, every area had to be carefully planned. The studio walls established the framework for Great Big Game Show’s colorful branding and distinctive studio identities. Each entrance now introduces guests to a different game-show environment, while the layout allows people to move easily through the venue.
This phase of the project required full coordination and management of the commercial construction process. As the general contractor, 90 Degree Construction worked to keep the new layout, finish requirements and building systems aligned with the project plans and the client’s design vision.
Coordinating With the Great Big Game Show Design Team

Great Big Game Show brought a bold and highly visual concept to the project. Our role was to translate that design into a durable, functional and finished commercial space.
We coordinated closely with Great Big Game Show’s design team throughout the build-out. That collaboration helped ensure that the new partition walls, flooring, paint colors, lighting and other finish details worked together as part of one cohesive commercial interior.
The finished venue is designed to catch the eye from the moment guests enter. Colorful graphics, dramatic lighting and branded studio entrances stand out against the dark interior surfaces, while the game rooms create an immersive environment that feels energetic and memorable.

Dark Commercial Interior Painting and Bold Finishes

The dark paint is one of the most dramatic features of the Great Big Game Show commercial build-out. The walls and ceilings were painted in deep, dark tones to create a backdrop for the colorful graphics, illuminated game stations and bold studio entrances.
This commercial interior painting helped establish the atmosphere of the venue. The dark surfaces allow the lighting and bright branding to become the visual focus, creating the look and energy of a televised game-show set.
Executing these bold commercial finishes required careful coordination with the design team. The paint, flooring, lighting and branded elements all needed to work together so the visual impact carried from the entryway through the hallways and into each of the three studios.
The completed interior shows how finish selections can transform a commercial property and reinforce a company’s brand identity.
Metallic Epoxy and Polished Concrete Commercial Flooring
The polished floors add a sleek element to the bold and bright interior
The project features two distinctive commercial flooring systems: polished concrete floors and metallic epoxy flooring.
The metallic epoxy floor was created using Blueberry Tart metallic pigment. The pigment gives the floor rich color, movement and visual depth. As light moves across the surface, the metallic finish adds another layer of energy to the interior and complements the dark paint and bright game-show graphics.
The polished concrete flooring provides a contrasting commercial floor finish in other areas of the venue. Its clean appearance works well within the contemporary design while offering the durability needed in an active entertainment space.
Together, the metallic epoxy and polished concrete floors contribute to the overall design without competing with the colorful studios. They are a strong example of how commercial flooring can serve both a practical purpose and a business’s visual identity.
Building an Additional Commercial Restroom
We had to build a completely separate restroom with beautiful tile and detailed finishes
The original retail space already contained one restroom, but the new use required an additional bathroom. As part of the commercial tenant build-out, 90 Degree Construction built a second restroom within the existing 2,166-square-foot footprint.
The restroom addition required new construction and plumbing coordination while still preserving the space needed for the three studios and supporting areas.
Adding the second restroom was an important part of adapting the former retail store for use as an entertainment venue. Commercial renovations often involve more than changing the appearance of a property. The building systems and supporting facilities must also be updated to meet the operational needs of the new business.
Electrical Work and LED Lay-In Lighting
The commercial electrical work included LED lay-in lights that provide efficient, even illumination within the completed interior.
The LED lighting works alongside the venue’s more dramatic game-show lighting and illuminated features. Together, these lighting elements support the practical needs of the business while helping create the finished atmosphere envisioned by the design team.
Coordinating the electrical work, LED lay-in lighting, dark ceilings and branded lighting features was another important part of completing the transition from a white-box space to a finished commercial entertainment venue.

Great Big Game Show’s parent company is The Escape Game, and 90 Degree Construction had previously completed another commercial build-out for the company.
